"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it." - Thomas Paine

We are fatigued. So dang fatigued. And yet, millions of us turned out to the streets across the country to support the ideals of our country's freedoms.

No Kings Protest 3.0 was another one for the books. There were some 3200 events across the country, and more around the globe.

I hope that all my fellow resisters turned out, too. If just 3.5% of the population shows up for peaceful protests in the streets, it's a bellwether for regime change according to an analysis of toppled dictatorships

Each national protest brings out more resisters, and we are near that benchmark number.

There are many accounts from the various big-city protests. Los Angeles had some arrests in a kerfuffle that popped up after the protest. Remarkably there were no arrests in New York City!

Here are some accounts of the larger picture:

I hope that you found your small-town demonstrations hopeful. I sure did! I always get a much-needed jolt of hope and pride when I join my fellow Americans to speak our minds.

Here are some of the signs in my local protest, and below that, some favorites that I found elsewhere.

An estimated 12,000 resisters came out for our local demonstration! Much more than the 3.5% threshold.

A couple other signs that I like but didn't get my camera out fast enough:
  • "For the Epsteinth time, we want No Kings."
  • "He's not a king. He's just a little shit."

Here's my friend Robert's video of the whole march, which took 21 minutes to pass by. You can see LSR at about 11:42.

Here are some you may have seen around the internet.
