Little Sister Resister: Headlong into a Police State

LSR has been in a bit of a slump. It's been hard emotionally to sit down and write. Plus, there always seems to be something shinier to look at. Playtime! Movies! Reading! Theater!

A lot has been going on in the last few weeks, so we'll try to catch up. Some of today's topics are a little dated.

ICE is Evil

ICE is America's Gestapo. They are flogging our immigration systems by descending into our communities, courthouses, and schools, heavily armed and decked out in unmarked military fatigues, masks, and sunglasses covering their faces. ICE agents are evil cowards.

How 'bout this loser?

ICE agents lie in wait outside immigration courts, like this incident in Los Angeles. The New York Times reports on others.

So, let me get this straight. The Mango Mussolini has stated ad nauseam that he wants to go after all the "murderers," "rapists" "criminals" and "insane" people "pouring into the country," the ones who "attack villages" and "eat our cats," right? Are those the same people who have been here, working hard for years, abiding our laws, and complying with their court appointments to navigate OUR U.S. immigration laws?'

Give me a fucking break.

Here's just one example of the questionable detainments that ICE has performed:

A Massachusetts high school junior was stopped while he was on his way to volleyball practice and taken into custody last week. He has lived in Massachusetts since he was 5 years old and has never gotten in trouble with the law. He is a good student and a good citizen.

Apparently his dad had been speeding, and ICE has been after the father because of it. The young man was stopped while driving that car. He was taken into ICE custody and was finally released yesterday and is speaking out about the conditions in the facility.

More and more stories are emerging of the many awful things that this gestapo is doing.

In Los Angeles, people showing up to their court hearings were being held in the basement of a federal building, some overnight, and with limited access to food and water. Is this the America we want to be?

Los Angeles was subject to several raids yesterday, including reportedly at an elementary school graduation. !!!

In one LA raid, the SEIU-USWW President David Huerta had been there as part of the rapid response team as an observer and was knocked down and held to the ground by agents and was injured.

In Tucson, a deputy U.S. Marshal was detained by mistake.

If these mistakes are happening , it makes you wonder. Just how many mistakes are they making?

In another LA raid, they took several people at a local Home Depot.

ICE agents or bounty hunters? A raid at Home Depot on Wilshire in Los Angeles earlier today. What’s disturbing is that they’re wearing masks and vests you could buy on Amazon. They’re in unmarked cars, and I don’t see any IDs on the officers — regular SUVs with standard plates.

In this and most other raids, many of these "ICE officers" are without any identifying clothing or badges, in unmarked cars with non-government plates, apparently without warrants. We do not know if they are truly federal agents working in an official capacity or are vigilantes. Either way, it's outrageous.

We the People will not stand for it.

This weekend, after the Home Depot raid, Los Angelenos took to the streets to push back on ICE. The protesters were met with officers in riot gear and gas masks. They fired "less lethal" rounds, including tear gas, into the crowd.

Breaking as I finish this: SCROTUS ordered the National Guard to Los Angeles without the request or consent of Governor Gavin Newsom. Given Americans' demonstrating their disgust for these hoodlums snatching people from their families, Dildo Baggins was just waiting for the right moment to do this.

Can you say Police State?

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is back in the U.S.

After spending 21 weeks in El Salvador, sent there on an "administrative error," Mr. Abrego Garcia is finally back in the United States.

Thank goodness! It's a tiny bit of relief. Abrego Garcia's return, along with the return of a Guatemalan man who was returned from his wrongful deportation to Mexico, means the administration is complying with court orders. For now.

But there is a catch with Abrego Garcia's return. Of course they can't let the return of a wrongfully detained man stand and return him with remorse for the wrong they committed. No, they have to trump up a bunch of charges to stick him with, namely human trafficking.

What? Human trafficking? That's a new one. It's a new one because the charges are completely fabricated.

Federal Prosecutor Ben Schrader resigned over the handling of Kilmar Abrego's case and the fabricated charges. Thank you, Resister Schrader!

I hope Abrego Garcia finds a good lawyer and fights every charge. I know several million people who would be willing to contribute to a defense fund.

The One Big Beautiful Bill

There's a lot to cover about the OBBB (like Empty Gee regretting voting for a bill that she didn't read), but today I'll just let Elle Cordova, one who is after my own heart, give her view:

What an asshole. I feel sorry all the Iowans who have to suffer her representation as their repulsive Senator.

At a town hall, one of her consituants had the audacity to show concern for people who are being kicked off of Medicaid. I'll let Joni speak for herself:

"People will die!"

Joni, rolling her eyes: "Well, we all are going to die."

There was, of course, an uproar about her facetiousness. So, Joni did what Joni does best: offer a sarcastic "apology," filming in a cemetery no less:

At least Marie Antoinette had the decency to disguise the sentiment a bit.

I do not like using this word toward women, but this behavior suits it. CU Next Tuesday, Joni! And P.S. Go fuck yourself.

Pardons

The Fraud Couple

The Grifter-in-Cheat gets all warm and fuzzy when thinking about fraud and corruption. It's his wheelhouse! He's an expert! Gives him a rightful boner!

It came as no surprise then, that he pardoned Julie and Todd Chrisley, who were convicted of fraud and tax evasion in 2022.

A month ago, Paul Walczak's mommy attended a dinner at Mar-a-Taco and handed over $1,000,000 for the privilege. Last week, Paul received his prize: a get-out-of-jail-free card and a full pardon for his tax evasion crimes.

Diddy?

Rapper Sean John Combs (aka Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, and Diddy) is on trial as we write. He committed atrocious acts of sexual violence and depravity. He is charged with racketeering and sex trafficking, among other charges.

Again, right up The Groper-in-Chief's alley.

Someone asked him if he would consider a pardon if Combs is convicted. The answer was chilling. It not only illustrates the transactional, mob-like nature of his actions, but his fucked-up moral compass as well:

College Daze

Harvard

The Twitiot's fight with Harvard has escalated. The latest, after threatening to cancel federal funding and the lawsuits that followed, is that the administration is threatening to revoke Harvard's Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification, making it impossible for foreign students to enroll.

Really? You are trying to control what a private school does? I don't think so!

Harvard sued, and a federal judge issued a restraining order. It will undoubtedly make its way to the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, 47 made the weird claim that Harvard is offering remedial math classes, "meaning they’re going to teach low grade mathematics like two plus two is four."

What a goddamn idiot!

No, of course they are not. It has been surmised that he heard half an explanation about that they are offering a supportive calculus class for students who need a little more in-depth explanation. The class covers the same material, is tested and graded the same, but this class meets more often than the usual intro calculus class.

I always feel stupid for having to explain this shit.

...Which, perhaps, is the reason that Harvard is offering U.S. Civics classes for free for anyone who wants them. Go here and audit a course for free, or get a certificate for $149. I'm going to do the Constitution one! Join me!

West Point

SCROTUS gave a bizzaro speech at the West Point Commencement, veering into topics like trophy wives and and making the outlandish claim that he "rebuilt the military" in one of his "Only I...." cult leader moments.

Though the commencement speech is supposed to be apolitical, he shat on that idea the moment he walked on stage with a MAGA hat on. He couldn't let a captive audience go without blubbering about winning by a landslide and "winning all seven swing states" which "gives us the right to do what we wanna do."

I'm sick of being sick about this freak of nature.

The Brain Drain

With research funds slashed, grad students deported, grants cancelled, and scientific studies being halted because of it, there is a huge loss. In some cases, years of work has gone down the drain.

The United States has historically been a draw for the best minds. Come on, now! Look at any number of fields and research where innovation has sprung. We were a leader. Were.

Now, many scientists and scholars have decided that leaving the U.S. is the best course. And other countries are more than happy to welcome them. It's a problem that we may not ever overcome, even if we are to return to the Before Times.

Elmo has seemingly left the Whitewash House and crawled back into the hole he came from. This, after slicing and dicing agencies across the federal government and leaving Washington D.C. in a shambles.

Tesla's shareholders and are not happy with his absence while the company tanks. They have asked the board to require Elong to return to a 40-hour work week.

His actions caused nothing but confusion and chaos and cost American taxpayers more than he saved.

Muskrat's drug abuse has been more obvious.

Did he really forget the group that effectively made him a king?

It just shows how absolutely barren his brain is. Maybe he is forgetful; maybe he is naive; maybe he is uninformed; he is definitely transactional, and he is definitely off his rocker.

What ever happened to states' rights?

California has been a leader in reducing vehicle emissions. Smog was a real problem in the 70s and 80s and California required strict emissions restrictions. Because California is an economic powerhouse (now fourth largest economy in the world), its emission standards rippled to 17 states. The standards bettered not only California's air, but the whole country's.

Well, now, the MAGA Senate has revoked California rule about vehicle emissions. This hurts California, and it hurts all of us.

Typical of MAGA. If a rule benefits the MAGAverse, it's good to go. If it benefits anyone else, it's gotta go.

Like Abortion.

Aren't States' Rights supposed to rule here?

Thanks to the corrupt Supreme Court and their overturning Roe v. Wade, there is a checkerboard of abortion rights (but mostly wrongs) across the country.

Texas has decided to do Bad Things in their warped mission to deny women health care, even if they are seeking it in another state.

Look at this. They are using license plate readers to track women who travel to obtain an abortion. Folks, this is our dystopian future. It is now.

The abortion situation is so scary. Women are being harmed. Not only are women being denied the right to make decisions about their own body, they are being forced to endure dangerous, life-threatening medical emergencies.

This woman was gravely harmed when the physicians at a Texas Emergency Room turned her away when she was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy. Unable to find treatment, she soon suffered a burst of the embryo and life-threatening complications.

Though it has been determined that the hospital violated federal law, it shows how scared physicians are to care for women who are experiencing dangerous pregnancies.

The administration completely revoked federal guidelines on caring for women experiencing medical emergencies. This is so angering.

Zelenskyy Holds ALL the Cards

Remember when Traitor Tot ambushed Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in front of the press and blubbered that Zelenskyy "doesn't have the cards"?

Turns out Zelenskyy has alllll the cards.

While the Apricot Pol Pot was blustering and insulting his outfit, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was planning a clandestine drone attack on Russia.

More than a hundred drones were smuggled into Russia, reassembled, and set out to attack four airfields, hitting at least 41 military aircraft, many of them worth half a billion dollars each. He later hit an important bridge connecting Russia to Crimea.
