According to NBC News, "The U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, the National Capital Planning Commission and D.C. State Historic Preservation Office are the regulatory agencies that would traditionally be involved in greenlighting any major renovations at the White House."

Federally-funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits are set to expire on Friday, affecting over 40 million Americans who depend on them to get food on the table. The people who rely on SNAP are mostly elderly, families with children, and people with disabilities.

Withholding these benefits sets the stage for "the most mass hunger suffering we've had in America since the Great Depression," according to Joel Berg, CEO of Hunger Free America.

Congress is at a stalemate. The MAGAts are lying that the Democrats are to blame for the expiration of the SNAP program.

This is what the Rethugs are saying on the U.S. Department of Agriculture website about the problem:

"Senate Democrats have now voted 12 times to not fund the food stamp program, also known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Bottom line, the well has run dry. At this time, there will be no benefits issued November 01. We are approaching an inflection point for Senate Democrats. They can continue to hold out for healthcare for illegal aliens and gender mutilation procedures or reopen the government so mothers, babies, and the most vulnerable among us can receive critical nutrition assistance."

Know this: the funds for SNAP are there. There are emergency funds; they've been allocated; they are ready to be disbursed. The well has not run dry.

What has run dry: the spinal fluid in MAGAt Congress members who refuse to release the funds.

It's not that the regime can't release the contingency funds. It's that they won't.

The main sticking point in ending the shut-down is that Dems are holding fast on insisting that the federal assistance for health insurance premiums obtained through Obamacare, aka the Affordable Care Act, are left intact for 2026. If the subsidies are allowed to expire, millions of Americans will have their health insurance costs shoot up, and many will fall off of health insurance altogether.

Know this: It is the MAGAts who are obstructing the re-opening of the government by refusing to get on with the businesses of taking care of the American people. They don't care who gets hurt in their race to kiss the royal orange ass. Every single Member of Congress has constituents who rely on SNAP and who get government health insurance subsidies. Every single one.
